Timeless Wedding Photos in Yosemite National Park
On a calm April afternoon, Brenton and Courteney declared their love for each other once more in Yosemite National Park.
These stunning photographs were captured in April. Spring can be such a beautiful time for photographs in Yosemite, but the weather can also be very unpredictable. It is always the best to have a back-up plan in the event of weather. I like to remind couples that weather is another factor that plays into the overall story of your photos, so embrace it.
Months before this day, Courteney reached out and wanted to take her engagement photos in Yosemite. I mean, who wouldn’t want to take their photos in the most beautiful place on earth, right? We selected a day and planned out their engagement session. So we are talking about April, let’s rewind two months back into February, leading up to the “engagement photos.” Courteney reached out again to let me know that that they had decided to not waste any more time and legally marry each other but they STILL wanted photos in their wedding attire in the park. To me, this was a great idea! You don’t have to just wear your wedding dress ONE day and then never again. Take bridal portraits in it!
I had the honor of photographing their intimate wedding at Courteney’s childhood home. As I got to spend the day with Brenton, Courteney, and all of their closes family and friends, it was there I got to observe how beautiful their love for one another truly is. Some words that I think of when I think of their love is patient, intimate, and real. The photos you see of them below are true to who they are as a couple. I did not direct them much of the shoot. I told them to interact with one another. Sometimes it felt as if they had forgotten I was even there. To be so in love, that nothing or anyone around you matters, just the person in front of you. That is what I think of when I think of them.
